Facilities and Equipment
Quick Tow operates out of a shoreside facility at #6 Harbor Drive, Whittier AK. Where it maintains business offices, as well as our dispatching / communications facility. Communications are maintained with Coast Guard Valdez via landline and V.H.F in addition cell phones are monitored 24hrs a day, 7 days a week from May 1 through Oct 1.
The Following equimpent is available for rescue and salvage.
M/V Tough Tow - 22' Zodiac Hurricane 640. Powered by a 200 h.p. diesel engine. This vessel has a response speed of 30 knots. Tough tow is equipped with similar towing and salvage equipment as Quick Tow.
M/V Harbor Tow - 15' Welder Aluminum outboard powered. Harbor Tow is used for tight in the harbor tows, and small tows within 6 miles of Whittier Harbor. Harbor Tow has a top speed of 24 knots. Harbor Tow also has limited de-watering capabilities.
ECO Tow - 3 meter electric Zodiac used for tendering divers.
